Mayo Clinic Infectious Diseases Subspecialties Update

Overview / Abstract:	This brand new course will provide an update in Infectious Diseases with a focus on various subspecialties within ID; future courses will focus on a different array of ID subspecialties. There will be a comprehensive review of infectious diseases that focuses on the clinical application of new developments. The course will offer case based presentations, in-depth discussions, and interactive session all geared to increase knowledge, performance and patient outcomes. Attendees will leave with up-to-date, practical information that can be applied immediately to their clinical practice. Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to: • Incorporate new management guidelines for common infectious diseases syndromes in clinical practice. • Explain the principles of HCV diagnosis and management. • Describe how Clinical Microbiology rapid diagnostics can assist in clinical Infectious Diseases practice. • Identify and manage opportunistic infections in transplant patients. • And more….
