Evolving Practices in Patient Health & Safety

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Learn about two initiatives that seek to improve patient health and safety by targeting practitioners. Huddle for Care is an online environment that brings health care professionals together to collaborate on transitional care. Psychological assessment is then discussed as it pertains to predicting outcomes and how this can contribute to safety for both the practitioners and the patients.

Now is the time to gain an in-depth understanding of what is required to be a successful practitioner under the ACA. Protect your practice and improve the health of both your patients and community in this new environment. Be among the leaders who have a winning Affordable Care Act-era practice.

At the conclusion of the activity, attendees will be able to:
-Describe the origin and evolution of Huddle for Care
-Explore the vision, mission, and goals of Huddle for Care
-Demonstrate how to use the Huddle for Care website
-Explore a story on Huddle for Care and the steps to follow to contribute your own story
-Discuss the role and use of neuropsychology in the areas of patient safety and medically-related public policy for travelers in the air, on land, and at sea
-Determine whose role it is to project that safety for the traveler, employee, and the environment
