Overview / Abstract:

In this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity Dr Anuja Rizal discusses her experience with starting an anticoagulation clinic.

Target Audience
Pharmacists who are interested in the management of patients on anticoagulation therapy and/or who are interested in starting pharmacy services for patients on anticoagulation therapy.
This activity is not accredited for technicians.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, pharmacists will be able to:

Discuss the benefits of establishing an anticoagulation clinic.
List the steps required to establish and run an anticoagulation clinic
Describe the important aspects of operating an anticoagulation clinic
Describe the financial considerations of running and anticoagulation clinic
