4th Annual Southwest Laryngology Conference: Focus on Complex Cases

Overview / Abstract:

The 4th Annual Laryngology Conference will provide a state-of-the-art discussion and instruction on comprehensive evaluation and management of laryngeal-related disorders and corresponding rehabilitation techniques. The meeting will offer a multi-disciplinary approach on a wide variety of voice and swallowing topics, surgical procedures, cancer management, airway issues, techniques for post-surgical swallow rehabilitation, and post laryngectomy voice restoration. The faculty will also address pulmonary medicine, integrative medicine, and palliative care from a physician, clinician, and research perspective.

Optional half-day workshops (separate registration required):
TEP Management for Voice Restoration; Advanced Techniques: Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Compression (including myofascial release); Manual Therapy Techniques for Muscle Tension Dysphonia; and Hands-On Lab: Office-Based Laryngology Procedures

We are proud to present a faculty of world-renowned experts in the field of laryngology and voice rehabilitation from across the country. The course format will include evidence-based lectures, multidisciplinary panel discussions with case presentations and offer Q & A sessions and interactions with Mayo Clinic and guest faculty. Course attendees will have the opportunity to submit patient cases for discussion by a “Panel of Experts”. Advance submissions will be reviewed and approved for relevancy to course subject matter.
