Overview / Abstract:

Modern children are under a tremendous amount of pressure to succeed at school. Children who are struggling academically are working at a great disadvantage. Clinicians need to learn new techniques that can help support, motivate and encourage these students without enabling them. Clinicians can learn to help children develop academic skills that are self-directed relieving the pressure. Clinicians can offer support and teach these techniques to parent, so that they to can help children develop positive attitudes about their academic capabilities.
