The Master's Series features Dr. Stephen J. Pomeranz's most advanced lectures on diagnostic imaging to date. These intense and detailed presentations will focus on the topics of orthopaedic, neurologic, and body imaging. Each title in the series will examine subjects such as subtle interpretative techniques, anatomic detail, mastery of key technical issues including planning and set-up, terminology, and management of cases with regard to intervention.
The topics presented in the Master's Series include:
ORTHOPAEDIC IMAGING: The instructor's comprehensive and detailed knowledge of pathologic conditions, grading systems, classification of severity systems, and subtle interpretative techniques will be emphasized. Key issues in orthopaedic terminology and dictation also will be covered.
BODY IMAGING: An intense and detailed review of body MR applications as they relate to anatomy and pathology of the abdomen will be undertaken. The interpreter will learn how to master the assessment of male and female pelvis, prostate, liver (MRCP), pancreas, kidney, neck, and MRI/CT of the spleen and retroperitoneum. The viewer will enhance his or her expertise on key technical issues that allow consistent reproduction of advanced body MR exams at a high-quality visual level.
OBJECTIVES: Participants who complete this activity should be able to recognize advanced or complex abnormalities in orthopaedic MRI; expand their current knowledge base and raise their diagnostic skills to an advanced level; and acquire master-level expertise in recognition of pathology and MRI interpretation, resulting in practice improvement and better patient outcomes.
