Overview / Abstract

DESCRIPTION
This intensive review course is designed to provide the internist an updated broad review of basic topics in internal medicine and its subspecialties. The activity will also aid in preparation for the 2009 American Board of Internal Medicine certification and re-certification examinations.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for internists, family and general practitioners, sub-specialists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners desiring a broad review of Internal Medicine.

OBJECTIVES
After viewing this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
• Recognize clinical manifestations of diseases in internal medicine
• Demonstrate an understanding of the diagnosis and management of medical scenarios that appear on the ABIM examination and in clinical practice
