Many people are unacquainted of the benefits of speech therapy for people grappling with Alzheimers disease.Communication function is always affected when an individual has AD. Speech therapists have a primary role in screening, assessment and treatment, but they can also play a critical role in caregiving training and family counseling. This course will equip practitioners with a basic understanding of AD and dementia. This course will also teach strategies to manage behavioral symptoms, increase communicative effectiveness, and improve family interactions. |
