Identifying Human Trafficking in the Pharmacy Setting (Technician)

Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

Human Trafficking, often called modern day slavery, is a growing issue. Many mistakenly feel this problem happens only in other countries, but human trafficking occurs every day in the United States. A large percentage of victims are seen by a health care provider during their captivity, but are not identified. As the most accessible member of the health care team, pharmacy providers need to be aware of the human trafficking issue and learn how to identify and support victims.
