Overview / Abstract: |
In this activity, pulmonologist Gregory Cosgrove, MD, discusses the signs and symptoms of IPF to help PCP learners identify at-risk patients and achieve goals of earlier referral and treatment initiation, ultimately improving patient quality of life. The activity also features an animated whiteboard to illustrate take-home points for the PCP audience. Clinicians require education surrounding appropriate identification of IPF patients, implications of guidelines to practice, and the value of referral to a specialist. This activity is designed to provide practical guidance from an expert faculty to help increase awareness of signs and symptoms of IPF, and current and emerging treatment options, in order to optimize patient care across a multidisciplinary team. |
