Overview / Abstract:	Protecting patients’ privacy in the health care arena is an important responsibility for pharmacists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. It is important to be familiar with your employers or experiential sites policies relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This course provides an overview of HIPAA’s major components related to patient privacy, and tips for complying with its provisions.
