Access Activity

Overview / Abstract:

According to the CDC at least 23,000 people die each year because of infections. It is imperative that health care workers and any individual involved in the care of a person have a better understanding of how infection is spread. Equally important is the ability to know how to stop the spread of infection. This course will provide the learner with an in-depth discussion on infection control, best practices, and infection prevention.

This course contains materials related to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Because the literature and recommendations for COVID-19 continue to change rapidly, the COVID-19 material will remain as a supplemental handout until 2022 or 2023.
