Pharmacists, as a member of the healthcare team, have specific knowledge related to their area of expertise and are aware of compliance standards set by pharmacy boards, however, it is important for this professional to also have an understanding of general workplace safety and the standards set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. This course will provide a review of the OSHA general duty clause and related applicable standards for pharmacists’ workplace safety. This course contains materials related to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Because the literature and recommendations for COVID-19 continue to change rapidly, the COVID-19 material will remain as a supplemental handout until 2022 or 2023. |
