Target Audience
This educational program is directed toward pulmonologists, primary care providers, allergists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other health care professionals involved in the care of patients with AATD.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
• Describe the genetic etiology and pathophysiology of AATD
• Perform diagnosis of patients with suspected AATD using recommended laboratory tests and clinical assessments.
• Evaluate patient outcomes following treatment with augmentation therapy.
• Apply knowledge of recommended diagnostic assessments and management strategies to patient scenarios.
