Overview / Abstract:

Target Audience

This educational program will be directed toward hematologists, pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with iron overload.

Program Overview

This online, on-demand virtual symposium brings together renowned experts in hematology and iron overload. In this educational program, these experts provide an overview of the pathophysiology and burden of iron overload as well as guideline-based screening and diagnostic criteria. In-depth presentations outline risks and benefits of chelation therapies and parameters for monitoring them. Practical application of key discussion points is reinforced through patient case scenarios.

This educational activity is an archive of the live virtual symposium held on December 7, 2021.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
