This 6-hour knowledge-based home study learning program is tailored for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, focusing on regulations and standards related to handling hazardous drugs. By grasping these guidelines, participants can implement optimal practices at work, ensuring the safety of both compounded hazardous preparations and the staff handling them. Pharmacy Technicians can utilize this program to equip themselves for the CPhT Advanced Certification Examination on hazardous drug handling. This home study learning program, recognized by PTCB as an Education/Training Program, guarantees a standardized and high-quality learning experience. |

Richard Dilzer, RPh, FACA, FAPC Richard H. Dilzer, RPh, FACA, FAPC, graduated from Rutgers University School of Pharmacy. Rich has been practicing in various pharmacy environments since 1985, including retail pharmacy, long-term care, mail-order operations, infusion therapy, consulting, and compounding sterile and nonsterile medications. He has been a preceptor for multiple pharmacy colleges and has held leadership positions in infusion therapy, long-term care, and mail-order operations. Rich is a fellow of both the American College of Apothecaries (ACA) and the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC). He is also a co-inventor of four patent-pending injectable formulations and has contributed to the APC Adverse Events and Quality Assurance Software Development Committee and the ACA Mentoring Committee. |
