Ann E. Woolley, MD, MPH Ann Ellis Woolley, MD, MPH, focuses on innovation in the care of solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients with infectious disease complications in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Dana Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School. She is the Associate Clinical Director of Solid Organ Transplant Infectious Diseases at BWH, an Affiliated Scientist at the Broad Institute, and Associate Medical Director for the New England Donor Services. Dr. Woolley received her BSE degree from Princeton University in mechanical and aerospace engineering, MD, and MPH degrees from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, and internal medicine and chief residency at Boston Medical Center, and her infectious disease fellowship at the Harvard Partners Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and BWH with a subspecialty within infectious diseases in the immunocompromised host, primarily oncology patients and recipients of solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplants. Dr. Woolley is a clinical investigator in human studies, including the identification of infectious disease syndromes and in the development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics. She is currently leading clinical trials focused on the impact of infection in organ transplantation in an effort to expand the organ donor pool and minimize infectious complications post-transplantation. In addition, she has a clinical expertise in the management of COVID-19 and leads several COVID-19 diagnostic and therapeutic clinical trials. |
